"Latvian Blues Band" song entered the semi-finals of an international competition

International song contest "The songwriting International Competition 2012" entered the semi-finals of "Latvian Blues Band" song "When The Sun Goes Down." Contest final is expected in April this year.

Very prestigious competition brought more than 20 000 songs, including "Latvian Blues Band" song "When The Sun Goes Down", which the authors have a group of musicians John Bukowski and Roland Saulietis. All of the submitted songs into categories, and the jury assessed according to certain criteria.

Jury include such celebrated artists as Tom Waits, Nas, Jeff Beck, Keane, James Cotton, Black Francis (The Pixies), Robert Smith (The Cure), as well as a number of producers, record company presidents and other representatives of the music industry ("Capitol / Virgin Label Group "," Universal Republic Records "," MTV International ").

International Song Contest is an annual event which aims to empower emerging and established songwriters voice heard professionals and an international audience. The competition known as the most important musical contest in the world because of the prestigious jury - the songs not only musicians, but also influential music industry representatives.

"Latvian Blues Band And Friends" at "Dream Factory"

"Latvian Blues Band" will share last years impressions at a concert on March 20. 20:00 at contemporary cultural center "Dream Factory". Group's concert promises to be rich in surprises, featuring both local and foreign musicians.

The last year passed convincingly - European festival tour in the summer and the winter club tour, countless blues music evenings and nights at '' Bites Blues Club''. Finally, it’s time to share all the impressions on the big stage.

"Latvian Blues Band" is preparing musical surprises for all the fans.The band will enrich it’s sound with the united "Latvian Blues Band And Keksi Horn Mini Big Band ",long time friend and the master of hammond B3 Raphael Wressnig from Austria who has previously played in Riga with "Latvian Blues Band" musicians.
